Remko is a passionate and very experienced and PhD thesis supervisor, he gives thesis guidance to college students of almost all programs and also Remko supervises university students. He himself has long-term experience with the combination of working and studying. After receiving his bachelor’s degree in Organization Science, he subsequently earned a doctorate in business administration (Erasmus University) and a doctorate in psychology (University of Maastricht/Open University). In 2015, he completed his doctorate at Maastricht University. His dissertation “Stigma by association among family members of people with mental illness” included both several quantitative (surveys) and quality (semi-structured interviews) studies. Remko also publishes regularly in (inter)national journals and magazines.
Remko supervises students and PhD students of various college and university institutions and supports them in various aspects of the thesis to be realized and their dissertation/ scientific article. In doing so, he uses not only the substantive methods and techniques for student and thesis guidance, but also his own experiences as both a full-time and working student. His areas of specialization include organizational science, management science, business administration, occupational and organizational psychology, change management, customer satisfaction (NPS) and loyalty, cyber security (risk management), strategic management, entrepreneurship/entrepreneurship, social science and (clinical) psychology. His experience includes extensive experience with quantitative and qualitative research software such as SPSS and NVivo. Remko has supervised many students at Avans University of Applied Sciences in the past, NCOI, NHTV, Erasmus University, the Haagse Hogeschool, the HAN, Hogeschool Zuyd, InHolland University of Applied Sciences, University of Maastricht, Windesheim, the Uva and other educational institutions.
