Marjo is a highly experienced researcher and thesis supervisor, especially in the field of social studies. She has helped many students successfully with their thesis. Marjo is a nurse/social worker/family therapist and has worked in psychiatry in that capacity for many years. In addition, she has a management master’s degree (MMI). She has also been a lecturer-researcher at several knowledge centers of Hogeschool Rotterdam for a number of years. She can assist students in writing a (Dutch or English) thesis in the field of health care, nursing (and nursing specialist), physical therapy, welfare, safety science and organization & management.
Over the past six years, Marjo has specialized in guiding students who have stalled for whatever reason and have been working on their thesis for a long time. In doing so, she encounters many problems such as: procrastination, fear of failure and perfectionism (and blackouts). This often makes students lose confidence in it themselves. This is where it helps to have a thesis supervisor who does have confidence in the student.
Marjo is good at guiding students who find it difficult to structure their thesis. She can help you prepare your problem analysis, the conceptual model, your research plan, add structure to your thesis, and she can check your thesis linguistically.
She can additionally help students write methodical chapters, qualitative data analysis and finding – and properly referencing – literature.
You can turn to Marjo for both content (she has a good theoretical background and knowledge of research) and practice (practice-based research) and formulating recommendations.
Marjo supervises students from Rotterdam and can also help students through online thesis assistance.
