Henk has his academic background in public auditing (BSc and MSc) and acquired his PhD at Nyenrode Business University in the field of behavioral economics. His research focuses on international economics and the behavioral aspects of assessing risk and uncertainty in international business.
Over the years Henk supervised over 100 students in writing their theses, both on bachelor and master level. Next to that he acted as examiner (thesis and defense) for at least the same amount of students. Next to that Henk is associate professor at a research center at one of the universities of applied sciences in The Netherlands and published a book, a syllabus and a number of papers in the area of international risk management.
The topics he normally supervises are in the academic fields of Finance, Accounting, International Economics, Marketing, Logistics and Supply Chain Management and Auditing. Additionally he is head lecturer for multiple courses in Finance and Accounting, International Economics and Research Methodology (academic writing, research proposals, qualitative and quantitative data analysis). Furthermore Henk can help with academic writing, structuring your text, building your research methodology and getting an insight and oversight of your own work. His way of supervision is: down-to-earth, positive and goal oriented. Engaging in a research is a lot of fun, but we have a purpose to do so: graduate.
