Mirjam studied economics at WUR (Wageningen University and Research). She specialized in research (methods and techniques) involving both quantitative and qualitative research mastered. In doing so, she works with the packages SPSS and ATLAS.ti. After a career in business, she started her own agency writing books and journalism on marketing, market research and communications. Today she works as an examiner and supervisor of students.
She likes to supervise students who are seriously working on their thesis (and plan of action/ advice report) and get stuck in the process. This may involve, for example, structuring the research process, arriving at a good research design, methods and techniques, analyzing the results (quantitative and qualitative via e.g. a thematic analysis) and the actual writing of the final product (thesis, professional product or portfolio). Mirjam has a broad experience and is especially at home in international business, marketing, communication. She has also helped many students in healthcare training programs such as nursing specialist, college pharmacy assistant and in master’s programs of private training institutes such as Capabel and TIAS NIMBAS.
Her guidance can cover all elements of graduation: both content and process. Mirjam helps you get a grip on the research and its sub-steps. Once you have an overview, she will provide you with tailored guidance so that you get a meaningful result. She can also support you in communicating with the program, operationalizing your research and organizing your writing and work process. In addition to working as a thesis supervisor, she has her own yoga practice.
